CHEF'S SPECIAL

DISCOVERY Thali

The concept of Thali can be traced back to ancient India, where it served as a means of providing a balanced and nutritious meal to people from all walks of life. Over time, it evolved into a cultural institution, with regional variations emerging to cater to local tastes and preferences.

Thali is an amazing way to discover the diverse flavours Indian cuisine has to offer.

The wonderful response from our clients has motivated our team to bring more such unique and delicious regional dishes from different parts of India.

Our Chefs are excited to bring every week diverse flavours from different states of India. Please reserve your thali in advance.

27th August 2026

This Thursday, Spoonful of India is bringing the mountains straight to your plate with our special Uttarakhand Thali, available in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

Starters: We kick things off with Daal Chapli Tikki-crispy on the outside, flavourful on the inside, and seasoned with traditional spices. Alongside come fresh Salad, Chutney, and cooling Raita - the perfect little companions to get your taste buds going.

Main Course: For our vegetarian thali, there’s Aloo Ki Thechwani, a rustic Pahadi potato preparation bursting with aromatic spices, paired with comforting Pahadi Daal. Simple food, you might say - but simple mein hi toh asli swaad hai! Every bite feels warm, homely, and straight from the hills.

And for the non-vegetarian thali, things get a little more hearty. Tariwala Kukkad brings tender chicken cooked in a rich, aromatic gravy, while Jangli Shikaar adds those bold, robust flavours that reflect Uttarakhand’s traditional mountain cuisine. Basically, if you’re a meat lover, yeh thali dil jeet legi!

Both thalis come with fluffy steamed Rice and soft Roti, making sure you leave the table happily full.

Dessert:  And just when you think the feast is over, there’s dessert - Jhangore Ki Kheer. Creamy, delicately sweet, and made with traditional barnyard millet and milk, it’s the perfect ending to this little culinary journey through the mountains.

So, this Thursday, forget the usual “kya khaayein?” dilemma. Come take a seat, dig into the thali, and let Uttarakhand come to you - one delicious bite at a time.
